Good wireless laser mouse

Strengths: Long battery life. Smooth scroll wheel.

Weakness: Signal strength. Side button location.

I bought this wireless laser mouse at a low price after rebate. Overall it is a very good mouse. It is symmetrical to fit both right and left handed users. It is comfortable but being a right handed user, I believe a model like Laser Mouse 6000 provides a slightly better fit. The scroll wheel is very smooth and quiet, like in other Microsoft models. The battery is supposed to last 6 months, which...

Great laser mouse

Strengths: Laser technology

Weakness: Sometimes not accurate

This is a great wireless laser mouse for everyday use! Two batteries last for a long time, and the design of the mouse is very comfortable. It works well even without the software. But I find that those two buttons on the side are sometimes annoying and they are quite sensitive. Besides, the RF receiver will lose the signal randomly, which makes the mouse suddenly move slower. So this mouse might...

Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 for Windows/Mac USB -...

Strengths: Nice design with easy and comfortable

Weakness: left and right side clicking buttons mounted high on the mouse & the anoyance message

First of all, it is very nice looking, comfort, and easy to use. Secondly, it took me only 2 minutes to install the software and it runs smoothly. However, the message "The signal is weak" is annoyance, even it is only 8" from the receiver. Finally, I am happy with the purchase and really enjoy the new mouse.

Not bad.

Strengths: 1000 dpi sensor, 4way scroll, wireless.

Weakness: The receiver is USB only. Not very comfortable grip.

This mouse is a 1000 dpi laser mouse, however, I didn't really seem much improvement over my old Wireless Explorer 2.0. The fact it has higher resolution makes the mouse cursor move faster and requires adjustment. Grip was not as comfortable as Wireless Explorer 2.0. It seems it was designed with left handed people in mind, where Wireless Explorer 2.0 was made only for right handed people. But...

Microsoft Laser Mouse 5000

Strengths: Works well and is precise, easy setup

Weakness: Looses signal qaulity easily, does not work well with Windows Media Center. Easy to activate right side button inadvertently.

I have two of the 5000's, one at work and one at home. Both seem to warn of low signal on occasion but not a big deal. The one at work is great and convenient with option buttons on the side. The one for home on my Windows Media Center Edition computer stops the screensaver from operating. Apparently this is a common problem and Microsoft suggested a fix that didn't work. The fix did stop me from...

Great laser mouse at a great price!

Strengths: Accurate, easy to use and install, works well

Weakness: no battery indicator light, kind of big

This has been a great mouse overall. I use it for gaming and I even bought a second one as a gift. I wish it had more programmable buttons, a battery indicator light, and was a little more sleek looking but it works great as is. USB wirless station is a little big but not different from other Microsoft mice I've had. I wish it was little like the size of a thumb drive.

Microsoft Laser Mouse

Strengths: Precise, comfortable

Weakness: None so far

I bought this mouse for a decent price after rebate. The mouse is pretty good responsive and the scroll wheel is very smooth. I have used many mice before but this scroll wheel is one of the smoothest of all the mice I had. The battery life seems to be long (used already two months and still using). Overall this is a decent mouse.

Good Mouse

Strengths: Looks, Battery Life, Price ($20 after rebate)

Weakness: Signal stregth, Tilt Wheel.

I got this mouse for $20 after rebate. And, for the price, I can't complain. It does what it supposed to do flawlessly. However, it is not perfect. The tilt wheel feels very clumsy and the signal strength could be better. Overall, it is a nice mouse, but definitely not the best.

It's O.K., but not perfect

Strengths: Comfortable feel: I have arthritis with some joint deformity in my hands, so mouse shape and comfort is an issue for me.

Weakness: Battery life: maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I've gone through 2 sets of batteries already. Layout of side buttons: sometimes I accidently hit a button, activating the magnifier, it's annoying.

My cheap but serviceable infrared (IR) wireless mouse started going haywire, so I thought I'd take a step-up with this; besides, the price was right after sale and rebates. I really liked the promised features of this mouse. This device does require a USB connection. I had a Microsoft USB to mouseport adapter, but it didn't work, so I needed to free up a USB port. The receiver to mouse connection...
